Frontier spotlights resilience and regenerative solutions at Groundswell 2026
Frontier Agriculture will return to Groundswell 2026 with an expanded focus on helping growers strengthen resilience, as the industry continues to balance productivity, profitability and sustainability in the face of ongoing change.
As Groundswell celebrates its tenth year as the UK’s flagship regenerative farming event, Frontier will continue its central role as Environmental Crops Partner, with a diverse range of demonstration plots on-stand designed to bring practical, field-scale solutions to life.
With increasing volatility across weather, markets and policy, Frontier’s team will focus on supporting growers to stay in the driving seat of their businesses through integrated approaches across the whole-farm system.
Regen approaches in action
On-stand activity will feature a mix of guided plot tours and technical discussions, offering visitors a hands-on look at approaches to improve soil health, reduce carbon impacts and maintain crop performance:
Wednesday 1st July
11.00am - Environmental crops across the rotation and wider landscape
Interactive tour of diverse crop plots in the Demo Field, including catch, cover, companion, legume fallow, grazing, winter bird food, pollinator crops and hedgerows.
3.30pm - Biodiversity builders: Turning risk into resilience
Exploring the importance of biodiversity, its role as a practical tool for managing risk above and below ground and strategies to boost soil biology, increase plant diversity and enhance on-farm habitats.
Thursday 2nd July
10.00am - Reducing risk from the ground up: soil, carbon and profitability
Exploring how healthy soils underpin effective risk management on your farm, with a look at practical soil insights and management approaches, the role of environmental crops and how soil carbon and crop emissions are unlocking public and private funding opportunities.
4.00pm - Environmental crops across the rotation and wider landscape
Interactive tour of diverse crop plots in the Demo Field, including catch, cover, companion, legume fallow, grazing, winter bird food, pollinator crops and hedgerows.
Speaking of the event, regional manager for Frontier’s environmental crops team, Will Pratt explains: “At Groundswell, we’ll be looking at the practices and solutions helping farmers to develop resilient, profitable systems through a combination of improved soil health, optimised seed selection, precision services and holistic agronomy.
“Visitors will be able to see these principles brought to life through a series of on-stand plot tours featuring environmental mixes such as catch, cover and companion mixes, legume fallows, grazing options, winter bird food, pollinator habitats and hedgerows.”
With real-life examples, visitors will get to see how different regenerative approaches contribute to soil health and support integrated pest management, as well as access clear, actionable guidance on how such practices can be successfully integrated across whole-farm rotations.
Frontier will also be joined by Shropshire farmer, Hayden Woolley of Low Footprint Lamb self-shedding sheep, helping to demonstrate the value of integrating livestock into arable rotations through innovative forage systems.
Navigating a changing financial landscape
As Government policy and public funding schemes continue to evolve in the sector, such as the newly launched Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) for England, Frontier’s teams will also talk through the opportunities available to growers and the added value coming from private investment across the supply chain.

That approach sits at the heart of the sustainable partnership programmes we’re building together - creating new opportunities for funding and value at the farm gate while strengthening long-term food security.

Beyond Frontier’s own stand, the team will contribute to wider industry discussions throughout the event, with a focus on the role of environmental crops across rotations and landscapes, the importance of biodiversity in building resilience, and how improving soil health, carbon management and agronomic performance can reduce risk from the ground up.
Frontier will feature on the BASIS Knowledge Trail and across both days, advisors will also be present in dedicated sessions on the BASIS stand.
